Charlie is the co-director of Duke Cru.  He and his wife Marnie met while attending FSU, where Charlie majored in finance and Marnie recieved a degree in Child Life Development. After college they worked for a couple years before spending 2 years on a short-term ministry internship in Sweden. After returning to the US, they joined staff with Cru and were excited to be placed at Duke University. Charlie loves sports and seeing life change. Marnie loves cooking, traveling and discipling college gals. They both enjoy spending time with their three kids, Caden, Asher & Sofia.

Sarah Barlow

Sarah Barlow is the co-director Duke Cru. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Sarah has also ministered on campuses in Nashville, TN and New York City. If you are a woman involved with Cru, you definitely need to get to know Sarah. She’d love to sit down for coffee, take you shopping, or just hang out.

Henry Baird

Originally hailing from Atlanta, GA, Henry graduated from Duke in May 2012 with a major in Psychology and minor in Religion.  This year, he is serving as an Intern with Cru at Duke.  Henry enjoys exercising, music, basketball (normally watching although he likes to play on occasion but some find it disrespectful to the sport), and hanging out with people. Feel free to yell at him from across the quad and say “let’s go to the loop” (or something like that) because odds are he’d want to talk anyways.  Sure you might accidentally yell at his twin brother (Bradley) who is also on campus, but Bradley doesn’t mind so yell at him too.

Cole & Teressa McLaughlin

Cole is the director emeritus Duke Cru, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).  In July of 2013, Cole will begin his role as Senior Pastor of Peace Presbyterian in Cary, NC after five years of directing Duke Cru.  He and Teressa have been married since 1997, and have four children. Teressa was an Alpha Chi at Indiana University, and loves decorating, cooking, and painting. Cole’s roots are more troubling (UNC’97), but he redeemed himself with an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2007. All six of the McLaughlins love spending time with Duke students, and their door is always open (and Teressa’s good food available!) if you need a respite from the pace of campus.
