Cole is the director of Campus Crusade for Christ at Duke, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He and Teressa have been married since 1997, and have four children. Teressa was an Alpha Chi at Indiana University, and loves decorating, cooking, and painting. Cole’s roots are more troubling (UNC’97), but he redeemed himself with an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2007. All six of the McLaughlins love spending time with Duke students, and their door is always open (and Teressa’s good food available!) if you need a respite from the pace of campus.

Charlie & Marnie met while attending FSU, where Charlie majored in finance and Marnie recieved a degree in Child Life Development. After college they worked for a couple years before spending 2 years on a short-term ministry internship in Sweden. After returning to the US, they joined staff with Campus Crusade and were excited to be placed at Duke University. Charlie loves sports and seeing life change. Marnie loves cooking, traveling and discipling college gals. They both enjoy spending time with their son, Caden.
Sarah Barlow

Sarah Barlow is the associate director of Duke Cru. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Sarah has also ministered on campuses in Nashville, TN and New York City. If you are a woman involved with Cru, you definitely need to get to know Sarah. She’d love to sit down for coffee, take you shopping, or just hang out.

Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth actually met in preschool in Memphis, TN, but they went their separate ways afterwards and didn’t reconnect until they were 27. They married in January, 2009. Mary Elizabeth is an Auburn grad who was on staff for six years with CCC as a single gal in East Asia. She loves reading, college sports, finding good deals, and traveling anywhere. Fletcher graduated from Tennessee and worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young LLP in Nashville for four years. In 2007, he left the working world to go to seminary (Columbia International) and pursue ministry full-time. Fletcher loves anything involving food, people, reading, and sports (especially golf). They joined staff this past May and are so excited to be at Duke! They both love loving on students and are excited about being involved in what God’s doing around the world and here at Duke.

Ashley has volunteered with Campus Crusade at Duke for the past four years while completing her PhD in Pharmacology. She loves building relationships with college students, running, learning about new cultures, and spending time with her husband Shane.
Ben Ober
Ben is a new member of the the Cru staff team and is excited to serve the Duke campus alongside our student leaders! Originally from Pennsylvania, he first joined Cru as a freshman at Duke in 2005. After graduating with degrees in Public Policy and Religion in 2009, Ben held a two year internship with Cru as a missionary in Dakar, Senegal. His favorite part of student ministry is sharing the Good News of Jesus with college students. In addition to serving at Duke, he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity (M.Div) at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. In his free time, Ben enjoys reading, college sports events, any type of card game, and exercising.
Georgia Briggs
Georgia Briggs is a new Intern for Cru at Duke! She just graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2011 where she majored in Exercise Science. She was very involved in Greek Life at USC and was in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She loves coffee, exercising, reading, and hanging out with and getting to know college women.
