Meet Our Staff

Cole & Teressa McLaughlin

Cole is the director of Campus Crusade for Christ at Duke. He and Teressa have been married for eleven years, and have four children. Teressa was an Alpha Chi at Indiana University, and loves decorating, cooking and painting. Cole’s roots are more troubling (UNC’97), but he redeemed himself with an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2007. Since coming to Duke in 2008, the McLaughlins have loved getting to know the students and staff of Cru. Their door is always open,and good food available, if you need a respite from the pace of campus.

Charlie & Marnie Densmore

Charlie & Marnie met while attending FSU, where Charlie majored in finance and Marnie recieved a degree in Child Life Development. After college they worked for a couple years before spending 2 years on a short-term ministry internship in Sweden. After returning to the US, they joined staff with Campus Crusade and were excited to be placed at Duke University. Charlie loves sports and seeing life change. Marnie loves cooking, traveling and discipling college gals. They both enjoy spending time with their son, Caden.

Sarah Barlow

Sarah Barlow is the associate director of Duke Cru. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Sarah has also ministered on campuses in Nashville, TN and New York City. If you are a woman involved with Cru, you definitely need to get to know Sarah. She’d love to sit down for coffee, take you shopping, or just hang out.

Fletcher & Mary Elizabeth Maynard

Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth actually met in preschool in Memphis, TN, but they went their separate ways afterwards and didn’t reconnect until they were 27. They married in January, 2009. Mary Elizabeth is an Auburn grad who was on staff for six years with CCC as a single gal in East Asia. She loves reading, college sports, finding good deals, and traveling anywhere. Fletcher graduated from Tennessee and worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young LLP in Nashville for four years. In 2007, he left the working world to go to seminary (Columbia International) and pursue ministry full-time. Fletcher loves anything involving food, people, reading, and sports (especially golf). They joined staff this past May and are so excited to be at Duke! They both love loving on students and are excited about being involved in what God’s doing around the world and here at Duke.
